Technical Drawing is not typically part of the curriculum in many of our students' countries: Peru, Morocco, Mexico, Tunisia, Argentina, Iran, India, or Korea. However, if your goal is to study engineering or architecture in Spain, you'll likely have to take this subject in the UNEDasiss 2025 PCE exams. Don't worry: although it may seem complex at first, with practice and a good strategy, the Technical Drawing exam can become a great opportunity to improve your grade.
What is the UNEDasiss PCE Drawing exam like?
The exam will only have two parts. The first is theory, the second is practice:
- In the theoretical-conceptual part, one or more questions or issues may be proposed, with the expected assessment for this part being thirty percent of the total (3 points).
- The practical part will consist of solving exercises with a change of representation system. That is, given a piece represented in a three-dimensional system (axonometric, conical, or cavalier), obtaining its representation in a dihedral system; and vice versa, given the representation of a piece in a dihedral system, obtaining a representation of the piece or object in another system. The assessment for this part of the exam will be 7% of the total (XNUMX points).
The exam lasts 90 minutes.
Key tip: Practice is the key. There are no shortcuts: you need to train hard and with good judgment.

4 common mistakes when preparing for the Technical Drawing exam
Preparing for a drawing requires daily consistency and effort. Try to avoid the following common mistakes:
- Studying without practicing enough. Technical drawing is learned with a compass in hand, not through theory. Precision is acquired through hours of practice and practice.
- Relying too much on your spatial intuition. Having good 3D vision helps, but it's not enough. You have to break down, analyze, and reconstruct figures until your mind can see them in planes.
- Neglecting presentation. A well-done exam should not only be correct, but also neat and precise. Always use rulers, subtle markings, and ensure symmetry.
- Not preparing yourself mentally. Some exercises seem simple... but they aren't. Others, which are intimidating, end up being more mechanical. Avoid surprises by practicing with real models.
