The 4 mistakes you should avoid when preparing for the UNEDasiss English exams.

If you are taking an English test, you should be aware of the common mistakes students make:

  • Trust yourself to have a good level: Even if you have a B2 or even a C1, don't underestimate the exam. Many students focus on preparing for Math, Biology, or History and neglect English, thinking they've "already got it." That's a mistake. Review structures, brush up on grammar, and practice writing regularly.

  • Avoid writing essays out of laziness: We know: writing in English is difficult. But you can't just wing it on exam day. Good writing takes practice. Try to write at least one essay a week, and if possible, have someone correct it for you.

  • Not informing you about the exam format: Many students don't know exactly what the test will be like. Don't make that mistake. Right here, and on websites like the Luis Vives Study Center, you can consult previous years' models and familiarize yourself with the actual structure of the exam.

  • Neglecting vocabulary: Grammar is important, yes, but if you don't have a broad vocabulary, your writing will be weak. Dedicate each week to working on it. specific semantic fields (environment, education, technology...) and write down new useful words to express opinions or clarify ideas.
